Monkey Tail is the perfect cafe to go to to start off your second month of 2018. I have already visited this cafe numerous times and I truly love their food choices. Their interior is also excellent, it’s both cozy and comfortable. This cafe is perfect for hangouts and work meetings.

*smoking area: smoking area is located in 2nd Floor. For people who don't smoke don't worry as it is completely separated from non-smoking area.

Food and Beverage:

Crispy Garlic Calamari: IDR 45.000

Some restaurant’s calamari may be overcooked and tough, but the calamari served in Monkey Tail are well cooked. It is crispy on the outside and flavorful in the inside. A good way to start your meal!

Brioche Scramble Egg Smoked Salmon: IDR 60.000

This is one of their all day brunch menu, which is the brioche bread. The bread and scrambled egg is extremely fluffy and soft. With the smoked salmon, everything is perfect!

Egg Benedict: IDR 50.000

I personally do not eat beef and this menu is my friend's choice. He said that this was a decent egg benedict and he does not feel that there is anything special to it as it is quite similar to other egg benedict out there.

Aglio Olio Spicy Italian: IDR 55.000

I do find this Aglio Olio a bit too spicy for me. As someone who cannot handle spicy food well, I do not recommend people who can't really eat spicy food to order this. But if you are someone who love and can handle spicy food, this spaghetti will be the right choice to order.

Monkey Tail Fried Rice: IDR 50.000

One of my favourite menu out of all food that I had ordered. It is quite similar to those typical Indonesian fried rice where we can find around Jakarta, but the traditional one is drier. I like this fried rice a lot as it is very flavourful and it is not that dry, plus it is accompanied with kerupuk and chicken satay.

Tom Yum Goong: IDR 50.000

I am not expecting much for this Tom Yum Goong as Monkey Tail isn't focusing on Thailand cuisines. However, it is actually better than what i expected. The flavour is quite light and not so spicy. It was decent but I do recommend to eat Tom Yum Goong in a restaurant which specialize in Thailand cuisinesrather than eating it here.

Salted Egg Chicken Rice: IDR 60.000

A decent salted egg chicken rice which is a bit different from the other salted egg chicken rice sold in other restaurant. Here, they include a very buttery sauce accompanied onions which I love. I found the sauce really similar to the ones we can eat in dimsum restaurant's salted egg bakpau. Not my favourite one, but it is still worth to try.
